Loan Programs

NVHT provides low-interest loans for land-acquisition, project development, construction/rehab and other gaps in financing to projects that help us meet our mission of helping to create adequate affordable housing in Butte County and beyond. Our loan programs will grow as we do.

Our current priorities and guidelines include:

•Closing the gap: projects that serve households making between 0%-60% of area median income (up to $36,000 annually for a family of 3 in 2019)

•Short term loans (1-5 years, with at least a 5-year operating plan)

•Projects that demonstrate a high value (lower cost per unit)

•Projects that include supportive services, including eviction prevention

•Innovation, sustainability (financial and ecological), and collaboration
